This stunning freshwater pearl necklace incorporates a variety of white pearls strung on clear mono-filament thread similar to Illusion Cord. Stick pearls are great for adding "texture" to a jewelry design! These ususual naturally colored pearls are a "X" or cross shape, then are drilled diagonally. Crystals add some sparkle and potato pearls and gemstone beads provide a beautiful and comfortable base for the piece.

Designer's note: Pearls have holes that are usually too small for Memory Wire. These pearls had their holes enlarged using a bead reamer tool (and lots of "coaxing"). Another tool that might be useful is the Pearl Reamer tool.

This necklace demonstrates the use of knotting in a contempory design style. The exposed sections of thread add color to the design - a style that is sometimes called "tin cup" (refer to knotting detail picture on the right).
